What the score means

Five useful signals, zero false certainty.

Email platform shortlist

Tools that can improve the signals behind opens.

A platform cannot guarantee open rates. The right one can improve segmentation, testing, send-time decisions, and message relevance—the inputs you can control.

Questions marketers should ask

Measure beyond the open.

Apple Mail Privacy Protection can create non-human open events. Use open rate directionally and pair it with behavior closer to business value.

Can this score predict open rate?

No. It identifies common writing and preview risks. Audience relevance, inbox placement, sender familiarity, context, and the offer can overpower every content signal in this tool.

Will a word like “free” automatically send email to spam?

No. Single-word rules are an oversimplification. Authentication, sender reputation, complaint rate, engagement, sending patterns, and message construction matter. The tester flags promotional clusters and credibility risks for review.

What should I use alongside open rate?

Use click-through rate, conversion rate, reply rate, unsubscribe/complaint rate, revenue per recipient, and downstream behavior. If your platform can identify Apple Privacy Opens, separate them when evaluating subject-line tests.
